Description
Thirikadugu Chooranam Tablet is a classical Siddha medicine in tablet form.
 
It is a blend of three herbs –
Chukku (dried ginger)
Milagu (pepper)
Thippili (long pepper) in equal proportions.
 
It is one of the known and used medicine in Siddha enriched with extraordinary healing properties.
 
Mostly helps in reducing of Kapha conditions like cold, cough, asthma, etc as it is expectorant and has anti-allergic properties.
 
It has the ability to reduce the production of phlegm or mucus.
 
Vatha ailments like arthritis and symptoms like joint pains and stiffness in joints can be managed well with this medicine due to its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.
 
This tablet helps in indigestion, gas trouble, constipation, bloating, and flatulence. However, people with gastritis, gastric ulcer, and peptic must avoid this medicine as it may increase the symptoms.
 
Dosage:
1 – 2 tablets with water after food twice or thrice a day or as directed by the physician..
 
Benefits
Common cold (acute phase during running nose): Trikatu churna has antiviral properties. It is effective for runny nose, congestion, sneezing, and body aches. However, if the throat is red, irritated, and inflamed, or if one has a dry cough due to irritation in the throat, Trikatu is not suitable in such conditions.
Asthma (chest congestion due to phlegm): It reduces the production of phlegm and chest congestion. Trikatu churan has hot potency, due to which it reduces the mucus production in the lungs and helps in treating asthma, and respiratory diseases like bronchitis.
High cholesterol levels: Trikatu churna is a good cholesterol-lowering remedy. Trikatu increases the synthesis of bile acid from cholesterol in the liver. However, it may not block cholesterol production like modern medicines, but it helps in the proper utilization of cholesterol in the body and thus reduces excess cholesterol levels in the body.
Body aches with a feeling of heaviness in the body: Many people have reported body aches with a feeling of heaviness in the body, which is generally common in winters. Trikatu chooranam increases warmth in the body and reduces body aches, heaviness, fatigue, restlessness, etc.
Obesity (Weight loss): Trikatu chooranam improves metabolic transformation and prevents the accumulation of fats. It also burns accumulated fats by rectifying the fat metabolism in the body and improving metabolic conditions.
Nausea, Vomiting, and loss of appetite in pregnancy: It is a great solution for pregnancy symptoms unless you have a burning sensation or acid dyspepsia. It increases appetite and reduces the feeling of nausea in pregnancy.
All of these symptoms are related to KAPHA dominant gouts such as the feeling of heaviness in the body, fatigue, tiredness, Uneasy feeling when awakening in the morning, Difficulty rising up in the morning, Joint stiffness, and Laziness. Therefore, Trikatu reduces all of them and provides relief in pain.
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS): Helps in treating gas combined with mucus in stool, cramps, and diarrhea by normalizing the digestive fire. It normalizes the digestive fire and corrects its functions. It helps almost all symptoms of IBS.
